I will provide a stable routine with a wide range of toys and activities age appropriate to each child. These will include toys, art and craft activities, song times, reading, play dough, role-play, outings that will encourage learning through play. I follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework that has been set out by the government for 0-5 year olds and each child will have their own learning journal detailing what stage their development is at and parents have access to these journals for their child only.
A daily trip outside will be attempted everyday, this could include the library, park, nature walks. Other trips may occur with parental permission and planning to farms, play centres etc. As I also have a qualification for Forest school the children will participate in activites involving this with myself and some other childminders who are also forest school qualified.
We will also carry out very normal household chores and make them fun such as gardening, hanging out the washing and baking for example.
These will change from week to week but this is an example of what happens whilst your child attends my childminding setting.
Monday - Craft Morning at another Childminders House
Tuesday - Magic Minders Childminding group
Wednesday - Visit to local Childrens centre to use the sensory room
Thursday - Soft Play at a local centre
Friday - Childminder drop in at Wickbourne Centre Littlehampton
During the holidays trips will be arranged for the children to participate and prior notice will be given to all parents.
